Climate Emergency Leave

Permanent and fixed-term employees can access unlimited paid climate emergency leave, subject to approval, in the event that:

• The employee’s home and/or immediate family has been directly affected or displaced by
  catastrophic environmental events caused by climate change; or

The employee is volunteering for an organisation that directly manages the response to these
events, such as the Australian Red Cross, Rural Fire Service (RFS) or State Emergency
Services (SES).
